Selections from UK based artist Noel Bensted. Bensted was inspired by the neo-classical portraits by French Old Master painters Jacques Louis David (1748–1825) and Anne Louis Girodet (1767–1824). The center portrait is of Bensted’s friend Yndia. The Kente cloth head wrap painted in this piece symbolizes Yndia’s Ghanaian roots.
